Hörmann Transdek – New Difference Day Demonstration Area
Hörmann Transdek, experts in the manufacture of specialist loading bay equipment and modular lifts, are pleased to announce the creation of a new product demonstration area at the Hörmann UK site in Coalville, Leicestershire. Developed as part of the Difference Day seminars being offered by Hörmann the products on show provide both clients and customers with the chance to see the most popular Transdek loading solutions in full operational mode. The demonstration area includes Vehicle to Ground (V2G) yard lifts, a Universal dock door, and a mezzanine goods lift.
Providing an effective vehicle to ground loading solution, Hörmann Transdek V2G yard lifts provide an instant, plug-and-play solution for the loading and unloading of all types of vehicles at level access sites – from double deck trailers to transit vans. Designed as a surface-mounted, modular load house pod, the V2G is fitted directly to a yard or warehouse floor. Impressively, fitting can typically be completed in under 1 day, with the V2G supplying a fast, safe, and secure loading environment. Two versions of the V2G are on display, both illustrating their fast loading speeds, integrated safety systems and robust construction for reliable, long-term operation.
The Universal Dock Door (UDD) provides fast loading/unloading for rapid vehicle turnaround and is typically 5 times faster than tail lift operations and twice as fast as loading with a scissor lift. Visitors to the demonstration area will be able to see how the loading platform can be easily and quickly adjusted to accommodate all vehicle types with its unique adjustable bridge plate. Designed to be suitable for both new build warehousing or as a retrofit to existing sites, it is supplied as a pre-clad, pre-tested surface mounted unit that can be fitted directly to the warehouse or yard floor in as little as one day as no civil works are required. With a selection of lift sizes from 6 to 13 pallets the UDD is available with a range of accessories including insulated cladding for temperature-controlled operations together with inflatable and adjustable dock shelters.
Installed within the main warehouse at the Coalville site a 1 tonne capacity mezzanine goods lift is in regular use to transfer doors and equipment between the warehouse floor and the Hörmann product showroom. Ideal for both new-build and retrofit projects, the mezzanine lift consists of a self-supporting lift shaft, and is compact and modular in design. As with all Hörmann Transdek products fast installation is a key benefit, with the mezzanine lift being able to be fitted in under 2 days due to its surface-mounted installation removing the need for often expensive building works.
